Any help? How do I master smalltalk? How does this site work? Please let me know.

You can probably only master a language/environment if you work in it full time.

I do not have the privilege of doing that, so for now I’ll be satisfied to know what I know about it now.

I completely suck at small talk. After someone asks me how I am, and I reply with a fine,thanks, how are you… I’m stuck.



So, when does one "master" a language? 4 years ago

This goal has been worrying me a bit. I know Smalltalk, I can use it. I don’t feel I’m as proficient in it as I could be.

But where is the benchmark where I can say “yup, I’m a master now”. Plus, calling yourself a master – what about the real masters? Andreas Raab for example. Never will I be in his league.

So? When can I tick this as done?
