start a running club

I have committed to start a Running Club in my community.

I am really excited about this goal, advocating and teaching running and launching this community organization.

This is a big challenge. I have a lot of leadership skills that I can bring to such an endeavor, and I know there is an appetite for this club in the community.

I’ve started the Orange Beach Running Club hosted at Calypso Joe’s in Orange Beach Alabama and assisted with starting the Mobile Mellow Milers in Midtown Mobile Alabama at the Midtown Mellow Mushroom. I also assisted heavily in founding the McGuire’s Running Club in Pensacola Florida at Mcguire’s Irish Pub. Check out runwithmellc.com for help in starting a running club in your area.

I’ve given up on this goal. Everybody seems to have their own running schedule. It seems like runners want to get together in order to train for a certain event, not just to stay in shape. At least not working on this frees up some time.
