I have 982 books registered all ready & a pile of my most recent reads on my desk to add in, so this should be achieved soon. 5 years ago

corry000Halfway there!!

I just looked at my bookshelf and it looks like I didnt even know i passed the 500 mark. As of today I have registered 506 books. 5 years ago

corry000Not even halfway there yet

This goal will probably take me few more years to complete. Although I go to Goodwill a lot and register all my books I get from paperbackswap and bookmooch, i am only at 416 books registered and my bookshelf are already full and double stacked. Maybe it’s time to buy another one and a trip to goodwil. 5 years ago

Wendy1,008! W00T!

YAY! I’ve completed this goal, and with plenty of time to spare before my “challenge” ran out. (Tomorrow, I’ll set myself a new one). I registered a whole bunch of books today (mostly ones in my TBR pile that I know I’ll probably want to release after I’ve read them), and I overran my goal by eight books. YAY! So, I’ve now registered more than 1,000 books, and a vast majority of those have been released, either into the wild, or at BC meet-ups. So why are my bookshelves still so full? (Probably has something to do with the fact I’ve never ONCE left a BC meet-up without taking books in place of the ones I released). facepalm6 years ago

I’m getting there. Only 17 more to go! starts hunting around bookshelves for books to release6 years ago

At the time I added this as a challenge (cool! What a fun new idea for the site), I am 35 books shy of 1,000. So, I could register about one per day over the next month . . . or maybe I should just sit down and do them all at once! I’ve got about half a dozen books sitting next to the computer waiting to be registered . . . looks like I need to go hunting for a few more than I’ll be willing to release. 6 years ago

luvstoreadI am absolutely addicted to bookcrossing, at

one time I told my Dad I would be happy to reach 500 and yikes every time I hit a milestone (4000) I get the urge to get to 4500. 6 years ago

Getting there – slowly, but surely. And the silly thing is that I KNOW I’ve got enough books around here to meet this goal; I just need to get tough with myself and make the decision to PURGE a bit more from my library. So many reference books, especially, that I really doubt I’ll ever use again, now that I’m in the habit of going first to the Internet when I want to look up a fact or whatnot. This will be a good goal to keep working at this week, as ANY clutter I can get out of my house (which is torn up due to a new floor being put in) is a Very Good Thing. 6 years ago

WendyI've got 864 registered so far . . .

So, I’ve got some work to do. But, I’ve also been purging my bookshelves like CRAZY, so it might not be too terribly long before I finish this goal! :) 7 years ago
