Cheer on my favorite baseball team to the World Series in 2006!

It’s over. We lost. BUT…we advanced to the ALCS! and the Oakland A’s had a FABULOUS season! Can’t wait until 2007! I have already booked my spring training package in Phoenix!

Well, that was last night but we didn’t do all that well. Encouraging, however, were the number of hits and the outstanding job from the bullpen. And the knowledge that today is another day!

I went to the game last night with Jamie, and we had a terrific time nonetheless!

And WE are in the final four!!! Whoopee!!! I got my playoff hat. I got my playoff shirt. I got my playoff tickets. Now, boys, let’s get ‘er done. It’s a group of guys, none of whom bat .300, but all of whom play as a team!!! We could all learn from this.

Of course, the tickets don’t tell you which dates they’ll be played on. So I have to pay close attention, watch the papers, etc., to figure out WHEN they’ll play!

the magic number is 4. We hope the A’s will pummel the Angels in the next few days. If they take 2 out of 3, they’re in the playoffs, AND they get to celebrate on our own turf!!!

The starting pitching is showing its fatigue, but the defense is still stellar. And the hitting is really picking up! I think they scored something like 24 runs in the last 3 games against the Devil Rays (because they needed to). I *still think the A’s are headed for the Fall Classic!

2006 is our year!!! Yeah, we got off to a slow start, but they’re even at the end of April, and the first few days in May find them 5-1. If you had told me we would sweep the Angels in a series (even a 2-game series), I would’ve said you’re crazy…but they did! THIS IS OUR YEAR for a national championship!!!
