write letters to the people who have inspired me

I have sent some encouraging notes to people in my life, but tonight and tomorrow, I plan on writing more notes that I can mail to people! Crazy!

I’ve sent a few of these kinds of letters – maybe 10 or so. It is rather cathartic – to put into words the thanks for the help/inspiration others have given. Some were fairly soon after a given incident, some were years later. I heard back from a 2 or 3 – they were all people with whom I no longer had any contact. I assume the letters made all of them feel better. They made me feel better. I know I LOVE getting such letter – when they are genuine. Even when they aren’t as genuine as one might like, the person took the time . . .

Maybe I should start doing this again . . .
