wish on a falling star

I saw a falling star Wednesday night while with my husband on the way to a service call that he had. I went with him just so I could be with him and not be at home alone for a few hours. I was glad that I went. What I wished for was for someone else, not myself. I made this wish not really on the star itself but more as a prayer in the name of Jesus. I know that God is in control of everything, no matter how big or small ~ no matter how lost a situation may seem to be. And I’m not giving up…...I know that God heard that prayer before I ever even said it.

I always make a wish when I see a falling star.

The other night I saw one while laying out on the trampoline. I immediately made a wish, and was immediately thereafter startled at my own wish. I shuddered.

I’ve always made more-or-less altruistic wishes, or wishes for other people. This wish was almost purely selfish.

I should stick to wishing for things for other people.
