Friday . . . 1 week ago

1. pool maintenance
2. copy, fill out form, & send FSA thingy
3. dry cleaners
4. call in prescriptions
5. tires plus if time . . . no time
6. email
7. grocery store-brats, charcoal, buns, tea & anything else I think of-
8. arrrgh . . . where else is it I need to go today? Thought of it an hour or so ago, and forgot to write it down. It was Lowe’s, to take back the doormats I bought in May. June is not over, and they are falling apart. No hassle on the return, though, so all is well.

Saturday's goal . . . 2 weeks ago

lest anyone think me unmotivated . . . is to wear my FitFlops all day.

For years and years I have taped my feet, put on socks, and then put on shoes with $400 orthotics in them. (Actually, the orthotics are not a bad deal. I have had them for 12 years or so, so that’s less than $40 a year.)

This summer, I bought some FitFlops because I saw reviews of them in which people who normally wore orthotics said they had been able to wear them comfortably.

I tried them and was able to wear them without pain for a few hours a day. Today, my goal is to wear them allllll day long. How long since I have enjoyed the freedom of flip-flops for a whole day?

And, as far as goals go, who says I don’t reach for the sky?
