How I did it: i asked my mom if i could pierce my tongue, she said no. then she suggested my belly button. i didn't really want it but i thought heck, why not? so she took me and my sister and got em' pierced. i didn't even feel it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was slightly nervous, but I had a few piercing done before so I knew what to expect. I think the worse part of it all is the anticipation. Once you get it done you tend to feel so relieved and it's like "this was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be" It was a sharp pain when I got it done, but it wasn't unbearable and it was only for a second. I love it. This is the second time I have done it. It didnt hurt at all the 1st time but since there was scar tissue it hurt this time. but still way worth it.
I hate the use of the term “giving up” for shit like this. I ought to be congratulated for realizing that if I ‘m going to get a piercing, it’s going to be a much less trashy one!
I got my navel done for my 18th birthday. It was spontaneous and was definitely worth it. Because I was lying down, I didn’t see the needle going through so that kept me from freaking out. It was fast and I didn’t feel any pain. As long as you take good care of it, it will heal nicely and won’t get infected.
This still stands as the reward for my weight loss goal. I’ve currently lost about 17 pounds, leaving me 11 pounds out from my 155 goal. I’ve added running to my schedule, and I’m one week into a strength training challenge… I expect that I will be going to visit my favorite piercer sometime in February or March.
Happily, see my budgeting goal above, I’ll be planning the money for this ahead of time!
