Husband is completing an internship 900 miles away. It will be done in one year and then he’ll join me in our new city that I’m moving to in August (for a permanent position). He left today and I’m crushed. We have a very strong marriage…I just miss him. My strategy is:
1. See each other often (at least once per month)
2. Talk every night by phone and skype
3. Be very productive and focus on my new job
4. Enjoy the time we spend together, not focus on how hard it is when we’re apart

Still trying to adapt to it and the worst part is that the place that my wife is staying do not have an internet access.
Duh !
Done and done. Moving and changing cities was harder than the long distance thing. Also, plane tickets are expensive.
After 23 months of seperation – the last 6 months married but still living apart – we are officially working and living in the same city. Our jobs still keep us away a substancial amount, but it’s almost giving us a chance to get used to each other’s routines all over again.
We’re even going ahead with renovations now…the true test of a marriage! *lol
But it seems like a long time! I’m not worried about this being unstable, but we’ve lived together for so long it will be weird being apart.
At last! My hubby has returned from being stationed in S. Korea, and we are as happy as ever. We’re buying a house at his new duty-station and it looks like he’s not even going to have to go to Iraq. We’ll be married 4 years in August ‘06.
