organize all my photographs (new and old)

it didn’t take me as long as i thought it would. i did it in about 2 hours. i divided them by date and or event… mostly years grouped together (all of 1995, all of 1996 etc.) with occasional events like weddings, graduations, births, parties etc that have a lot of pictures. then as always there is that one stack of misc. photographs that have nothing on them and you have no idea when they were taken.

so now that i got it all straight i may buy an album or two but i hate that the sizes of the pictures are so mismatched because i don’t like scrapbooking in the way that they do it now with the fancy pages and everything is geometrical and perfect. i like old scrap booking where you used actual scaps and rubber cemented them to a black spiral bound book that had thick pages ment for sketching. thats how my scrapbook is…

even as a child i loved photographs, they didn’t even have to be photos of me or my family or anyone i knew even. i just loved them. now that i am older i have a special love for the old sepia photos from way back. i have shoe boxes full that not only need to be sorted my occasion or date but also need to be weeded out… the shots that are so dark you can’t tell who they are or the blur of a white wall and what might be a picture or a clock on it. sometimes the mistakes come out amazing, other times they are just beyond comprehension.

but i have plastic photo boxes i intend to use as soon as i get a free weekend.
