Guns are dangerous, but there’s a fun in them that can’t really be explained. I don’t want to appear all weird and all, it’s just fun to be able to shoot a 30-30 or at least an MP-5 submachine gun in airsoft. shrugs It’s just fun to do. 5 years ago
we fired 303’s and FN’s (which are 7.62mm – same size as an AK). it was a great learning experience and gave me a healthy respect for guns. 6 years ago
So… in Sixth Grade, everyone in my district went to what’s called Outdoor Ed. Outdoor Ed. is like a three day camp at the end of fall. You do crafts, you have councelors, you share bunkbeds, you had to shower together… everything like a normal camp.
However, the one thing that was MANDITORY for everyone to do, was shoot a rifle.
All the girls dreaded this part of the “camp”. And… i wont be touching anything that resembles a rifle ever again in my entire life.

I shot a 25 and a 32. I didn’t shoot them well, but that wasn’t so much the point :). 6 years ago
and think the U.S. should lose our antiquated amendment. This said, and at the risk of sounding like a complete hypocrite, firing a rifle was definitely fun (especially since it was at a soda bottle and not at a living thing). 6 years ago
In my army service I first had an M16 and M16 A2.
During my basic training I got to shoot a 7.62MM FN Mag and got to throw a live granade.
After I finished the army I worked some time at a security company and had a 9MM FN pistol.
I have to admit that before the army I was kind of nervus about shooting but after the basic training it didn’t seem much.
I am really glad I got to expriance shooting 50 bullets on the machine gun (7.62MM FN Mag).
Shooting with the Mag felt like those old arcade video games where the whole machine shivers when you shoot.. 6 years ago
I’m not a violent person and I don’t enjoy weapons but until you actually fire a gun you have no idea how much power they have. I started thinking about my body or someone else’s being in front of the target and it freaked me out for a minute or two. 6 years ago
I own a couple guns, but I haven’t shot them in a few years now. I recommend open-air firing ranges over enclosed ranges for many reasons (including being outdoors!) 7 years ago
Fun fun fun! (as long as you remember your hearing protection)
Did some shooting when I was in Scouts… mostly air rifles, but every now and then we visited the Army Cadets and fired their rifles. Once I also got to fire a .357 Magnum on a firing range that’s mostly used to train security guards. 7 years ago
