Sleep outside at least 15 nights this year

Forgot to mention that I slept outside twice in Akzivland, and once on the beach when Patrick & I had snuck into Kibbutz Dor.

I live in a neighborhood called Windsor Park. Unbelievable. Okay, but I have slept outside two full nights, and several hours of a third during September. Nearly there!

Slept outside from 11 p.m. ‘til 3 a.m. at Ein Gedi (while cats crawled along the low branches of silhouetted trees in the courtyard, & a young man came out of his room to squat at the far corner of a building and burn several papers in the dirt) before everyone went hiking & I skipped out.

slept in the bamboo grove restlessly the night before leaving on our road trip (the evening of may 13th); mosquitoes bit my legs all night, & there were motorcycles roaring down the alleyway and drunken fights, and finally when nicole’s footsteps on the leaf-thatch behind the house came closer I woke up in total panic, only half-asleep all night.

So far I’ve slept outside (in the bamboo grove) twice this year, and the second time was greeted by a swarm of mosquitoes.
