finish the bathroom

It’s finally done. I finished this weekend. And it looks great. It could’ve turned out better, but it’s still pretty awesome. The picture was taken with my phone so it’s not the greatest, but you should get the idea.

but I still have to finish the plaster and paint the others. I should have it done by the time Matt comes home. Feb 1st. I’ve been really mopey though so it’s tough to get in gear and get it done. Here’s to trying!

was consumed by a drunken Christmas party and lots of recovery. So I so believe I’ll finish the bathroom this weekend while Matt’s gone. That way I can get it all cleaned at put together for a little welcome home suprise for him.

So we were so close, no so much anymore. Matt was gonna paint the bathroom on Wed. while I was at work. Great news, less I have to do right? WRONG! LOL It’s really cute now, but I thought it was gonna be a nightmare when he called me at work. He told me he loved me. I said I love you too baby. He said “you promise?”. Now I was starting to freak, asked him what he did and he bounced around the answer a bit before telling me…”I got some red paint on the white board (LOL chair rail) that goes around the bathroom.” That’s not so bad baby, we can get it off. “Well, we really don’t have to worry about it.” PAUSE for effect… Why? “Becasue I ripped it off the wall” WHAT? “It doesn’t look bad, but I’m sorry there are some holes where it was.” Holes that were under it or holes you made? “I made em. I’m really sorry baby, please don’t be mad at me”

Needless to say I was dreading going home for fear of our disastrous bathroom, but it really wasn’t bad. Nothing some plaster and tape can’t fix. I started fixing it last night, so I should be able to finish plastering a second time this weekend. It’s so sweet though how he told me. I love him. He’s the sweetest guy ever.

I’m done with the plastering. Matt is going to be painting tonight and tomorrow, so this goal will be met by this weekend. I’m so excited. Now I can start another project. (=

I realized that it is time to finish the “bathroom” re-hab i just returned form back east and my dad asked how the new bathroom looks and i realized its the same as when he was last out here, 2 years ago. Anyway lets start on it tommorrow :)

Finally! I’m so close to being done with the downstairs bathroom. I’ve got most the plastering done. It took me a little while to get the patern going that I wanted. But that part will be done and hopefully we can paint by this weekend. I’m excited. I’ve already started stripping the paint off the cabinets in the upstairs bath to prepare for that nightmare. (: But you know I love it. It’s so much fun!

So I’m really hoping to have the walls plastered by the time Matt comes home from FL. That’s gives me until Dec. 21st. I know I can get it done, it’s just a matter of finding the motivation to do it when all I want to do is sleep. =)

The only things left to do in the bathroom mostly entail putting up moldings. Crown molding, base molding, door molding. The ceiling needs some work. The hardest part is going to be putting in the light/fan and routing the ductwork in the attic. But it’s probably something I could do in a weekend.
