build a snowman taller than I am

I grew up near Buffalo, New York, where it snows from October through May. It’s easy then to build a snowman bigger than you, when you are 3 feet tall and have 8 feet of snow every year to play in.

I did this in VA the first year we moved there. I was like 7 years old but I still remember it so well.
Me, my parents and my sisters all helped. We made two of ‘em. I started the bottoms of them and then we decided to make snowmen after we saw how big I had gotten them.
It was great. They were even bigger than my dad!!
They lasted until after January.

I miss the snow.
