Dreams 2 months ago

While I’m planning my colleges around veterinary medicine, I’ve had this silent dream since I was around 12 years old (essentially when I began writing down the stories in my head) to be a writer. I doubt I’ll ever achieve that dream, but I’ve never finished writing any of my stories due to the lack of ideas or the loss of interest in the particular story, and I want to at least do that.

I just finished Chapter 1 of “Blue Ribbon Child”.
The prologue is done, and I’ll be starting Chapter 2 soon. Yay!

I write fanfictions and regular stories sometimes, but I’ve never actually finished one.
Well I started an original story called “Blue Ribbon Child” and I’m going to actually finish it (I hope!)
So wish me luck!

I like to start them, but haven’t finished a story in 8 years.

Working on stories for friends. 15 months ago

I’m a writer. I’ll write anything, and even fanfiction when I know the fandom.

I’m writing mostly original works these days.

Either way, I want to finish one of these projects:

a) The Lake That Was Never Frozen – looking into a character of mine’s past, and his relationship with his boss.

b) Precious Things – looking into some spy intrigue. Lots of fun, and an experiment with the first person POV.

c) Wanted: Spathi Captain Babysitters – it’s a Star Control 2 fanfic. Very silly, and I’m writing it with a friend.

Either way, when I finish one of these, I’ll be happy. Each one will take a while to complete as they need to be longer than 1,000 words.

Wish me luck!

Writer's Block 16 months ago

I’m a writer. A magazine recently printed an article I wrote, but my dream is to write fiction and publish a book. My problem is that none of my stories ever come to an end. I probably have a hundred interesting stories…that go absolutely nowhere, sometimes after ten pages. It almost feels like a curse! I want to finish one of them.

I believe writing is my vocation, or calling—the thing I am meant to do that just might touch the world somehow. Since I believe that God gave me this to do, why am I hesitating? How can I NOT write?

I’m in Creative Writing now and have to do this on a regular basis. Counting this done but “want to do again”.

well, yeah after 7 years of writing... 2 years ago

I actually finished one of my stories. Of course I didn’t start that one 7 years ago, but one year or so.
It’s one of my best, if I can say so myself.
Gave me kind of an high yesterday to be able to finish something.
Another good thing about it, it gave me hope that I’m a writer and that I can amount to something.

In English class 2 years ago

we were required to write about 50 short stories that consist of 55 words each. So I guess that means that this goal is completed! I actually wrote a longer story that was a few pages long. It was about a man and how he became homeless. I’ve always wanted to ask a truly homeless(I don’t mean the people who ask for money when they are wearing Nike shoes and listening to an iPod) person how they became homeless. Since I’m too chicken, I made up a story about it.. (:
