that’s like a song my sister wrote called “Baby Koala is Angry”. Oh my lord, it’s the funniest thing ever!

...strange feeling, they got a tough grip and at first are not as cuddly as you would expect. But great feeling anyway. However looking back it was possibly stress for the Koala. So, as many other things i did, I would not necessarily do them again or recommend to do them – this time for the sake of Koala

Unlike my cats, these creatures seem to like to be picked up and cuddled. Yes, they are as cute as they look. I actually held two different koalas. One at Dreamworld and the other at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary .

The one I held had it’s own little teddy bear to clutch to keep it from clawing the person who was holding it.

First things first…A koala is NOT A BEAR! It is a MARSUPIAL! It is not even remotley close to being a bear! HAvent you non Australians heard the song please dont call me a koala bear, ´cause i´m not a beat at all. It annoys me and my fellow australians peoples and residents (koalas) when you call them bears. The ARE NOT BEARS! There are acuually more misguided people wanting to hold koala bears than there are people wanting to hold koalas. It would make koalas everywhere happy if everyone changed their goal from koala bear to just plain koala. They are NOT BEARS!!! Got it? Koalas, not bears, good.

At ‘Caversham Wildlife Park’ they let visitors pet the koalas, but not pick them up. As the koala normally sleeps 20 hours a day, they probably enjoy not being constantly picked up. Still, though I do want to have a chance to hold one.
