List 43 things that bother me, that I will never understand or that just cause me to throw my arms up in the air and let out a piercing scream

What is it with people who stand WAY too close to you in lines? They do it in the grocery store (practically shoving their carts up your rear) and they do it in retail stores. I HATE when people invade my personal space, my bubble, my hula hoop of normal space between me and other people I do not know. I do not understand why they do this, getting closer and closer to me does not mean that they will be waited on any faster or that I will throw up my hands and let them go in front of me. Ugh, I just wanted to add personal space to my list.

I thought I would never get done…but today I went to the Department Of Motor Vehicles…

In days past, you used to be able to go down and pick up plates for your car…or have someone else do it for you…Nowdays, it’s a different story…

Case in point…

When my son was home on leave at the end of January, he bought a used car…he’s stationed back in the states…why not have transportation…right?...

Well, he drove it back to the base where he’s stationed…no mystery there…I told him I’ll get the registration and plates and mail them to you…

Fast forward to February 29th..me at the window…
THEM…”Sir, do you have your ID?”
Me…”Sure, here you go”
THEM “You’re not Brian”
Me “No kidding, I’m picking up his paperwork for him and sending it along”
THEM “Only the person the vehicle is registered to may pick up registration and plates”
me “My last name is the same and the vehicle is registered at my address”
THEM “It’s the law”
me “So this is part of the Homeland Security legislation”
Them ” Yes Sir…
me…The car is in North Carolina, along with my son who is in the military and WORKING…apparantly for this country”
THEM “You will have to mail him this power of attorney and have him fill it out and have it notarized so you can pick up his registration and plates…
me “(absolute silence)”...

I would once again like to thank our lawmakers for making all of us common people suffer and allow the use of common sense to not be applied to any real life situation…it is no wonder I have no respect for any politician in general and scoff at the process of making laws…You have shown your ability to stimulate the economy in certain sectors…notaries, therapists and headache medication manufacturers…

I’m off to the post office to mail a power of attorney…

In one’s life there will be people who are special…others who you will share your thoughts, wishes and secrets…Some will be family, others friends…but there will be those who are lovers and spouses as well…forging deep meaning over time with passion and truth and the creation of children who will be evidence of such a union…

In life there is an undercurrent which brings change…time has a way of altering what was the present and ushering in the future…things change as I have learned personally these last few years…

And when 2 people can no longer see eye to eye, get along or wish to remain together…why they both cannot accept this as fact and move on simply mystifies me…rumor has it that almost half the population of the world is people of the opposite sex…try to find someone for yourself and get a clue…

It seems to almost always be the male who has to fail in this regard…way to go men…Ya Boi…

Gah! In my opinion, not enough people read. Most people dismiss it as a thing of the past, a hobby for losers, boffins, people with no social life. These people annoy me.

Okay, so you don’t like reading or books? That’s fair enough, as long as you’ve at least attempted it. It’s fair enough as long as you respect the fact that I do like books and I find reading fun, and don’t look at me like I’m a total wierdo when I disclose this information to you. I would say about 70% of people my age automatically assume I’m a geek or a recluse, and treat me like one when I say I love reading.

But then I guess that’s because they’re ignorant, illiterate chavs. I can only assume that books spontaneously combust in horror when they’re taken onto a council estate.

This is a fairly petty one, but it’s a recent annoyance to my life so I’ve decided to have a moan here. Whose bright idea was it to stick a mini supermarket in a petrol station? I know you’ll get more sales, yadda yadda… but it’s so damn annoying for those people that JUST WANT SOME GOD DAMNED PETROL! Soo many times I’ve had to queue behind about 3 cars, all of which park next to the petrol pump, get their quids worth of petrol and go to pay… only to return about half an hour later laden with shopping bags because they thought they’d conveniently do their weekly food shop while they were there. Grrr, most of these places provide car parking spaces (although never enough) for twats like you, so get out of my damn way!

Why, oh why, can’t people use their turn signals???? they are there for a reason! It seriously irritates me when I see people turn or change lanes without signaling first.

Click up to turn right, click down to turn left… is that hard? So the next time you see someone turn or change lanes without singaling… speed up (if safe to do so) and look at the driver and rest asure that you are not looking at me! ;p

So far my two things that I don’t understand involve cars… trust me this isn’t going to always be the case, it just so happens that these are the first two I thought of.

they even have a video to show you how to do it in case people don’t want to read the step by step instructions. I realize that this is a lame thing to be bothered by, but it always strikes me when I am out driving and I see a car with one of these stickers that hasn’t had the transfer tape peeled off. It would look so much better if they could just figure out that they have to take the tape off!
let me know if I’m alone in this strange annoyance, but once you start noticing this it may start to bug you as well. :/

How things come so easily for some…and nothing comes for others…Only pain and sorrow…many times brought on and helped by themselves for whatever reason…

Her parents…her Dad especially, treated her like crap from the time her memory starts…psychological abuse…oh, and emotional too…being unloved has to be one of the worst, most empty feelings…and being treated cruelly on purpose is inhuman…You’re fat…worthless, never will amount to anything in your life...If you hear that enough…it burns itself into your memory banks…your soul…

She started trying to harm herself at 12 years old…there are scars on her arms and legs to testify to this…Trying to medicate herself out of existence was the order of the day for years…She met someone and eventually married him just to get out of the house…and is in a loveless marriage now even after 22 years…She hates him, herself and most everything else…

At 45 she still struggles with this horrible pain and doubt…the lack of self esteem and confidence gnaws at her constantly…and she thinks of harming herself almost every day…Yet, she has no faith in trying to start over and rebuild her life…lose the bad and concentrate on the good…because she can see no good…or very little…

She is smart and caring…with many good qualities…

I understand…for when I was a child…I lived just like her…made many of the same mistakes and choices…there are many similarities between us…her and I…but there is one huge difference…I stopped wanting to destroy myself…and she hasn’t…and I believe…in spite of my efforts to help…she will wave the white flag of surrender…and cease to exist…

And I will have failed…

this entry has to rank right up there with the most painful I have typed...

A lack of trust, possesiveness and jealousy….my own issues…

We are 2 alike…much of our past and our issues as well…

But hers are about 3 times worse than mine…how can I help her conquer the beast even as she has helped me to see I must destroy mine?...

I don’t think this will be fun or even possible…but if done…rewarding…

Failure looms…
