excellent! Now I will implement what I have learned. I will start the full 12 week program after my vacation(s) ..I thought about taking the variety of dumbells that he recommends on our trips with us but it would weigh the van down so much that Dave would complain about compromised gas mileage! (You need a variety of dumbells on his program). I’ll just go to the gym in the meantime to familiarize myself with the exercises he has in the book and start in ernest next month.

in accordance with Phillip’s plan. I am not finished with the book yet but I read his other book (Eating for Life) so I am beginning to use his recommendations.
He is making great sense to me.
I think I will take all my other “diet/exercise” books (I have many) and send them through Bookcrossing.
I had to stop when I got to an exercise. I guess what I’ll be doing next is defining my reasons “to change”. I’ll get started on the exercise tomorrow.
have you seen them? carumba! I love before and after photos. I also got his companion book, Eating for life. I edited this goal from “get in shape”. “Get in shape” = too vague for me.
this might be a duplicate of my cardio and weight training goal..yet I do think of it as slightly different. Getting in shape would have to do eating differently than I do right now. I am in the midst of figuring out how to change how I handle my weekly menus.
