Wowee! Two already this month, and we’re not even half-way through!
Worth doing!
My review of L.L. Bean: The Making of An American Icon is written and posted!
Worth doing!
So I’ve posted the one outstanding review I mentioned in my last entry for this goal: Little Black Book of Connections.
However, I’ve now read three books in the past week:
I’m going to try and get Success Built To Last posted by tomorrow. Wish me luck!
I need to make a start on Succeed on Your Own Terms – primarily because I have the chance to interview the author, Dr. Herb Greenberg, on October 23, but also because it looks interesting.
Turns out that the publisher that supports me the most is Harvard Business School Press/McGraw Hill (same company) – I guess it could be worse!

I’ve written 18 full reviews in 9 months and 1 day, so I’m more or less on track. I need to get two more full reviews written this month, however. I have one book which I’ve read and is ready to write up, so just need to get one more read!
Unfortunately, I miscalculated my book allocation for my current trip, so I don’t quite know what I’ll do on my flight to Scotland. Perhaps I’ll write a book instead.

...two more to go for this month, but I really want to get at least two other books reviewed before reading any more. One of them I think will just be a shorter review.

June was a washout – I did review The Long Tail for 800-CEO-ROAD, but they didn’t publish it until July, and it wasn’t on my blog (it was on theirs). They seemed to like it though, and want me to do more in the future.
For July, I published two full reviews: Juicing the Orange (about creativity) and Little Red Book of Selling (about.. selling, surprise, but also life). I also published two “quick” reviews: A Year With Swollen Appendices by Brian Eno, and Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle.
New books from publishers are arriving every week now, although some are under embargo until nearer the publication date. That gives me a chance to get caught up on the books I actually paid for!
