Take golf lessons

Had two lessons during my holiday and whoah what a hard game to play. Very enjoyable, but very frustrating. Liking the golf range, especially when I can hit the ball and hit it well. Unfortunately work a bit busy at the minute, but hoping to organise my final 2 booked lessons soon and maybe more if required.

He’s a big golf player and has offered to teach me. I’m very excited! I no longer work around the corner from a golf course but he lives around the corner from one.
We will begin at a driving range before moving to the course.

I have been playing golf socially for about 3 years now, maybe 1 game every 3 – 6 months.
However now feel like playing more regular. Feel a bit embarrassed playing for work so never really accept the invitations I get to corporate days.

The only thing that really upsets me though is that I get on the green lying ready to get par or a birdie and then play pin-ball with the golf ball.

I am pretty good at putt-putt but when it gets to a golfing green I desperately need some lessons.

So my goal is to take 3 lessons in putting, 1 every 2 weeks starting before the end of October.

My first round of the year, and I shot a disgusting 74 for 9 holes. My handicap has been 18 (the max) for the last four years. Something has got to give. I apparently cannot do it on my own.

But i do know that they have a golf course around the corner from my work that has a sign saying twilight golf for $25 .. that’s not too bad, I’m sure I can work it! I will just have to wait till it stops raining ..

Completed the six week class and it’s not so bad. I’ve signed up for another six week clas sint he fall to force myself to keep up. I’ve still only actually played nine holes – how does anyone find the time to fit in a whole 18 holes! Worth doing to see that i could – and i hope to keep it up.

but I’m removing this from the list because I’ve already determined that it is worth doing. This is something that would probably be good to do again whenever I feel like I need a refresher course.

and I love it already! Today we covered basic intro stuff, parts of the course, a little bit of etiquette, clubs, and putting. The class even ran over about thirty minutes because we were all having such a good time! I’m planning to spend some time on the practice green at least once, maybe twice, before next week’s lesson. I might even be able to talk my husband into going out to practice with me!

Hopefully, we will have enough people. The instructor says we still need one more.

I was all set up to do this and then didn’t have the moola after all. I have to… you know… stick to a budget which is actaully a higher priority on my 43 things… maybe next month.
