I placed into Algebra I, which is right where I wanted to be. The pre-test reviews and studying really helped me catch up on what I learned way back when.
How to do well on the math placement test
How I did it: I review Algebra 2 for Dummies. Did some practice problems for Precalculus workbook for Dummies. Watch and study a bunch of videos on yaymath.org and mathtv.com. Took practice test and worked on my weakness. And I ended up placing higher than a year ago in Precalculus instead of Trigonometry.

I take a math placement test in just a few days. I haven’t had a math class in over a decade, and math was never my strong point in high school or college. I’ve been studying a little but don’t feel prepared yet. I’m hoping to take a math class this summer; as long as I place into at least pre-algebra or basic algebra that will be a good enough starting point for me.
