40% of us are francophone.
I will find one situation every day where I can use some french. Government office clerks or retail workers usually speak it. I will also listen to french radio in the car or watch french tv for a half hour every night before bed. Maybe I could actually do my evening online yoga in french? so many opportunities! High on Tony Robbins work again today ;-)

I watch french tv on sundays and have my alarm set to french radio—what a difference in such a short time. now I can converse with people at work in french.

really helped with this. Now that i live in Ottawa (compared to Halifax) i have more chances to speak french, like at work. And also, the quality of my french really improved.

I never thought I would be able to find so many francophone people in the States but hey I do live in New York City, an international crossroads. My friend’s husband is Malian so I speak with him at least a few times a week. And I also have made a new friendly aquaintance and went to her birthday party with all of her french speaking friends so I feel really good about the frequency of my french speaking right now. Hopefully I can continue to speak french at least once a week. We’ll see. I love being fluent, even if I haven’t spoken in awhile, it all comes back to me once the conversation gets rolling.

well i’ve been speaking both french and english since..well since i started talking. But because i’ve been living in an english province..my french has gone down quite a bit and im getting scared of losing it. I do go to french school…but everyone i hang out with speaks english during lunch or whatever…so im gonna try and speak french at all times in school, that way i know i won’t lose my french.
