Take photography class

photography class right before my oldest son was born. I wanted to be ready, so I could capture him in pictures, and I did. So glad I took the class! It really taught me alot about what makes a good photo!

Yesterday, I signed up for a digital photography class in the fall semester at the local college. :D

like forever!! Ok, I bought a book “Digital Photography for Dummies” So does that count?

I am hoping to take an actual class hopefully in the next year.

I’ve been taking a digital photography class at the college where I work. It’s taught me so many things! Now I need to go out and buy a better camera.

If you’re doing this as a hobby, taking it as a night course at your local community college would be the best way to go. That’s what I did!

Why? Because community colleges usually have great creative/art programs, the faculty is more laid back, they understand you probably have other things going on in your life, it’s a great opportunity to meet other locals interested in your hobby, they’ll give you lots of hands-on projects, and it’s cheap!

Taking this class propelled me into doing a lot more with photography than I was before. The critiques are also very helpful, and i met a lot of interesting people!

So I decided, Screw It. I will take photography, I can always take more grad courses and I really really wanna. And guess what… all of the classes are FULL!

ARGH!

Well, I might not do this one this semester. I have another class offered at the same time that I might take because I can upgrade it to graduate hours.
