Mission accomplished!
I picked up the car from the mechanic yesterday and I can say hooray its finally finished. No more wasting money on go faster parts. This will leave me with more money to waste on my other project.
Realistically I can’t go above this figure with out seriously compromising the reliability and drivablity of the car. I could turn the boost up another 0.2 of a bar to 1.5 bar but I think this would be asking for trouble so I will resist the temptation.
And there is more to life than a car, but this project has taken on a life of its own and its something I want to share.
So here they are my crown jewels twin fuel pumps that should end my fuel problems they should be good for 1000 engine HP so they will have a bit in reserve.
Now for the re-tune and something I started 5 years ago will finally come to an end! Hooray
I don’t want to resurrect the goal “Stop trying to make my car go faster” because it shows just how shallow and superficial a person I am.
I was aiming for 420 hp but when it did an easy 487 hp on the dyno I just knew I had to go for 500. If I give up I will regret it for the rest of my life, I want to die knowing that I have lived and that means getting to 500 hp!!
All I have to do to hit 500 + hp is to put in a surge tank and secondary fuel pump and bingo.
It funny how your life priorities can change, Live your dream!!
