    I have a chart 5 months ago

of what I’ve done and I think I can find most of it in the computer. So, I think I’ve done what I set out to do with this goal-just coming up with a list of what I’ve written and what promises the little stories and articles hold. Now, I need to get them moving.

this seems like a likely project for some of this week. I think I’ll plan to do it or give up by next weekend.

To me, at this point, this means to clean up another mess. I have a pile of fiction, non-fiction, you name it strung on the computers and with hard copies equally well dispersed.

So to work on this I will start by getting it organized so I can see what I have, identify stuff that is good for me or good for something else (publishing or whatever), identify what I need to do to it (within reason) and then make a plan to do it. This needs to be completed sooner than later since it has the potential for being a tool for procrastination.

I’ve been keeping an online journal, but I want to branch out into writing things that aren’t neccessarily so personal to me. I’d like to find a way to communicate with others in a more effective way, because the things in my journal are vague and really only make sense to me.

I am ready to become a writer. I have learned to write with intricate detail. FINISHED.

amping up my writing (creative nonfiction) 4 years ago

i’ve written a number of memoir-essays and am working on putting them together into a book. i also write experimental/theoretical pieces. i’d like to talk to other people who are doing similar types of projects. or to graduate students who are interested in publishing non-academic work in addition to journal articles, etc.
