    I sprained my ankle and haven’t been able to work out for 2 weeks. I hope it’s not going to be too hard to get back into the routine.

    I went to the gym yesterday, and that’s my 4th workout!!!!

    I’m not going to check this off until I do it one more time. Hopefully it’ll stick.

    I’m up to 3 workouts this week! Hopefully I’ll actually get my bum to my favorite class tomorrow morning to make this goal. Might need some motivation- my bed is especially alluring on Saturday mornings.
    I think I’m gonna need some cheers to motivate me!

    Last night I did the “8 sculpting moves” from the Self Challenge month 2. Most of the moves involve squats, and let me tell you, I can feel it today! What I like most about this workout is that it’s challenging, and I can do it in my livingroom. I’d like to do this 3 times a week.

    It’s been difficult to get to the gym this week, because some stuff has come up, and I’ve been commuting to work from out of town. I managed to drag myself last night, and did a half hour of sprints on the treadmill (and man, can I feel it today).

    I’m aiming to go tonight and tomorrow morning. That’ll at least get me to 3 workouts.

    Changing the goal to the heart rate goal – it’s virtually the same thing.
    Now I can annoy more people with my posts!

    Damn! Only 3 times last week. Grrrr. My ankle was hurting yesterday and it was rainy all weekend…... but still.

    Got out there today though – with ankle brace on. The chum was not very into it until I reminded him that there would be horses.

    Total time: 36 minutes (not including horse stop)
    At heart rate: 32 minutes
    Average heart rate: 140
    Running bursts – 11

    I’m counting today even though I think it was actually only about 25 minutes because I really didn’t want to but I did anyway.

    Rough night with the chum, stiff legs, crummy weather, fussy baby.
    But I ran 10 bursts and tried my best.

    Worth doing!

    Increased the length of the running bursts to 1 minute each – those last 10 seconds are quite a push!

    Also stopped the monitor while admiring the horses so average bpm should be more accurate.

    Interesting to notice how heart rate shoots up as very large horse rears up to get leaves right next to small, vulnerable baby.

    34 minutes toal – 30 at heart rate
    12 running bursts (more than 12 minutes!) – average heart rate – 138
