I took ballroom and learned the cha cha and the waltz…but quit…Id love to go back and succeed at ballroom dancing so I could go out to the dances and even compete with a partner.

How I did it: I'm learning all kinds of different dances at school. We just completed the fox trot and now we're doing the waltz. Its so beautiful and romantic. Now on to doing it in an uncontrolled enviornment with someone I'm in love with. Or could fall in love with. Or who dances really well. Or who I think is really cute. Read how I did it…

flexibility I have… let’s see..maybe this year… I have been enchanted by the idea…so why not?
The movie is “Take the lead”. Nice movie, nice dance, I really wanna be part of it:)
I was pretty hesitant to take the class in the beginning. I couldn’t find any friends that was willing to take it with me. I was afraid that I will be the only single person showing up in this class. I ended up convincing myself to go.
I was actually not the only single person there. Even though I didn’t have a partner, I get to dance with others since we have to rotate.
The class is actually ending soon. I have learned Swing, Ramble, Tango and Waltz. I can’t believe that I learned all this. It has been a wonderful experience and I will miss it very much. The class meets once a week and it’s the only highlight of my week. I think I will continue to learn ballroom dancing or salsa next.
I took it at Penn State about…wow…8 years ago. I don’t remember much. I would love to learn it again…
I have done this in the past, but I wanted to take it up again. I have started with salsa dancing, but my instructor thinks I am really good. We’ll see if it works out as well on the dance floor.
Sure its one thing to take classes as a hobby, but its all about living the lifestyle. Going to huge Banquets and Benefits in breathtaking ballrooms. Drinking champagne in tophats’n’tails. Dancing the tango and waltzing, infront of a live orchestra, long into the cold snowy night.
How Grande indeed!
My friend Ben and I are taking salsa together: 4 private lessons, 45 minutes each. He and I have finally gotten the super basic steps down and are now learning how to do turns. Yey. We also began to do some of the first steps to bachata. It seems like a lot of fun and is a cool way to learn some new moves and rhythm but right now we’re learning just the technical stuff. It would be awesome when we all put it together and dance to some muzaaak!
Well would you believe it?! I came home after work one time and got a phone call from a dance studio offering a free private class and a $100 gift certificate if you turn out to be interested in continuing as part of their promotion celebrating their something anniversary!!! Damn! I took up on the offer and next week, I start! I don’t know if I will go by myself or a partner though! I told maybe I’d bring a partner depending on who of my male friends (all of whom seem to be gay for that matter) are available. I was advised to wear shoes with a slight heel and most people wear dress pants to match the heel. Maybe it might be better to go alone as I was told that it would be super beneficial since you’d dance with the instructor. I’m supposed to let them know if I’m coming alone for sure or not so they can arrange for a male instructor (ooh la la). Hehe. I’m a little intimdated though, but it should be fun. I’d like to find a friend though.
