I’ve had this idea for a book for years now, just recently i started to write it, I did all the planing got names for characters and stuff wrote the first paragraph and gave up >.< I will pick it up at some point, i just need the motivation to do it. I think it will be a good book when it is finished. 11 months ago

I am a young writer and artist and i’ve always been the kind of girl who starts masterpeices and never tends to finish them. I’ve started millions of wonderful storys and novels, yet I never have finished any of them, some are years old. The one i’m curently working on, is quite important to me and I really think I need to push myself to finish this. 6 years ago

BeastlyBFinishing My Book . . .

In fact, I’ve already finished it in first draft – 370 pages. I’m now about to make a third trip to Chicago to visit the National Archives for the Great Lakes Region for additional research. I never imagined I would write a non-fiction book, and went through the University of Washington’s Writers Program several years ago – in the fiction section. Had a few stories published, but then let my writing go while pursuing other things. Then I was given a great opportunity – a non-fiction story met me halfway (I was seeking/it was looking). I fell in love with it and have only to continue and re-write – then get an agent. I will not waste my time with contacting publishers myself – it’s a mind-numbing, time-wasting exercise. Once it’s done to my liking, I’ll contact a likely agent (Found in Writer’s Market), and go from there. 6 years ago
