I want to do this. My choice of motivation will be the Ford GT.

I did do a little over 100 in a Yugo once. Nope it wasnt downhill. Im thinkin the adrenalin rush might have been about the same. The integrity of the hopetojesus nuts flashes through yer mind.Everything was shaking and the slightest breeze blows ya off course. Its just that the trees and cows dont go by as fast.

Got a speeding ticket in NM for doing 120 in my Gremlin once…. Shoulda framed that one.

So if you can not afford a car that can actualy do 200 go as fast as you can in the most questionable car you can find. Fear produces a nice burst of adrenalin and the worn out door seals sure makes it sound like youre going fast. 5 years ago

My fastest is a lil over 150, but I think that’s enough for now. I still take it up to 125-130 every so often, but until I get on the autobahn I don’t think i’m gonna get near 200. 125 is fast, but still manageable. Above that, the increase feels exponential… there is a huge difference between 125 & 150, so i’m not even gonna pretend that i’m ready for 200mph. I’ll pick this goal up again when I move to Germany & buy a Porsche. 6 years ago

I have a Z28 that I’ve gotten up to about 140, but ran out of RPM’s… that was a wild ride. My sister’s Caddy CTS topped out around 145, & I recently bought a Lincoln LSE that I got up to 135 where I hit the limiter. It felt like a dream at 135 though, so I’m hoping to flash the comput. & kill the limiter.

My best so far is about 165 in a friend’s Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera S. I would have kept going but I ran out of safe highway. The guy who owns the car has easily gotten it up to 175, but he says it has a limiter at 190. That 6 speed makes all the difference. Still looks like I won’t be hitting 200mph anytime soon though.

Gotta get myself a Viper Venom. That’s 1000hp, 0-60 in 2.25 secs, top speed 255mph [410 km/hr] Problem is, i’m coming up short by about $225,000 7 years ago
