This will be our 2nd season with our little pop up. We are planning two big trips this summer, plus some miscellaneous weekend trips.

Our 1st trip will be Pictured Rocks in the U.P. of Michigan in June and our 2nd will be Yellowstone National Park this August. I’ll try to write about them this summer.

I started a Brownie Girl Scout troop and went camping with my daughter for leader training. Now I am planning a trip with our troop on april 25. Camping twice in one year is really good for me! I hope to go again in the fall.

This is months away, but I’m excited about the possibility. I want to go camping on the weekend of my birthday. There is a campsite nearby very manatee migration friendly, and I would love to see some up close. January is a time full of manatees at the camp, and if it’s not cold this year…I’m going camping! Hopefully, I’ll have my own kayak by then too.

I’ve compiled a list of sites that are within a reasonable distance from here…and there are over ten places I can go and be able to use a kayak!
Now I plan on going camping every other month or so now that the weather has cooled down. JNW and I are planning a trip next month. :)

I found a 2000 Starcraft pop-up camper for only $1500.00. We brought it home the last weekend in May. Tried it out close to home in early June. No kidding we had to leave the camp ground because of a tornado! Pretty scary. But that did not stop us from making plans for the rest of the summer. Right now we are renting a spot for a month at a seasonal campground. This is growing on us. The kids love the place, it’s quite, has fishing, swimming, canoes and boat rentals, everything is there. We’ll be done here mid August and then we are going to take it up to the upper peninsula for a week. Can’t wait. Love this!

We go at least 4-5 weekends a year, but we want to do more. So when we had an invitation to jam with some friends in the desert about 65 miles from us, I went online and found a campground near by.

Just got back and it went very well, in spite of midday temps around 105. Thank goodness for full hookups and air conditioning!

I tried to camp more this spring, but got too busy this summer to follow through. As soon as I’m over the surgery, I’m going to go out and enjoy myself.

Today I made reservations for camping at our favorite campground for my girlfriend’s birthday week. It will be the longest I have ever been tent camping – five days! I figured out that it will probably cost us about $300 for the whole trip, which I felt mildly guilty about because we are moving at the end of summer and trying to save our pennies, but then I realized that hey, if we can get away with having nearly a week’s vacation for only $300, that’s pretty awesome.

I am so looking forward to this trip. One thing I really love about camping is that both my girlfriend and I adore it, and every time we go, it gives us a chance to relax and bond and do nothing together, which is lovely, and something we hardly ever make time for in our daily lives.

Used to go camping all the time when my husband and I were in college; really want to get back in the habit of it. Nothing like being out in the woods with no one else around, looking at the stars!

We had a great weekend camping with my husband’s family. The weather was perfect and it felt great to relax. I took over 800 pictures in 3 days, mostly of our little niece. Also had plenty of opportunities to see butterflies, rabbits, chipmunks, birds, etc. I took my sister-in-law on a 2-hour bike ride on a mtn. bike trail – awesome stuff. But, she says she’s not doing that again. Guess I’ll have to take my husband next time. We’re planning to go back there in a month. I’m looking forward to it already.
