meet a Democratic Senator.

I’d probably get tongue-tied from all of my excitement! Even though I live in Texas, the reddest red state of them all, I’ve always been proud to call myself a liberal. Meeting any liberal Senator would be so cool for me!

I’ve met Kerry, Clinton, Daschle, Pelosi, Boxer, and a few others. I have not interviewed them, or talked at any length with any though.

Actually, I would like to interview a Senator about how he/she got into politics and obtained the position of Senator. I love politics and issues that affect the public interest. I would like to find out more about how to get involved in politics to improve the quality of life for all of us. I am especially concerned about health care, foreign policy, and civil liberties/privacy rights. Also, the relationship between democracy and powerful mulit-national corporations. This could be examined in the context of special interests and their impact on legislation, as well as, control of media by large for profit corporations.
