Never grow old

It is all in the mind.

I want to keep this innocence, wonder and be a child forever. I dont want to grow old. I want to run around and laugh and be care free. I want to always feel this alive.

Live life to fullest and stay young..
It can be done..

No old lady shoes, no dentures, staying active forever…trying new things to keep my mind young….

The decision to grow ‘old’ or stay ‘young’ is a valid decision. It is not something that age MAKES you do. You either will allow society to tell you that you should start ‘acting your age’ or you will choose to stay yourself and be TRUE to who you really are.

To become ‘old’ is to change who you are. It is NOT to become more mature or reserved, that is bs that society feeds you. Age is nothing more than a number to count the years you have been alive.
How can there be 80 year olds acting younger than most 40 year olds I know? Because they KNOW the secret is not in the number, its in the heart.

My grandparents, who raised me, taught me that no matter what that number says, you are still who you are inside and never let that person die.

I want to be YOUNG until I do get dementia or cant remember. You never know though, maybe your attitude and how you live is a factor of ‘age related illnesses’. Either way…I want to be until I cant remember anymore.

My age you ask? I’m 22…..with 17 years experience.

if i look at myself in the mirror one day and truely believe that im “getting old” and im NOT married or anything… i Will Seriously Take My Own Life.

When I was younger, my grandma’s dementia started getting worse. She would forget and feel lonely and confused. She would look at me and say, “Never get old. It is awful.” It terrified me. Granted, she was in her 80s and had been pretty happy until dementia started taking over, but I promised her I wouldn’t get old. So, I am working on it.

Aging is mandatory, growing old is an option. I’m never growing old. Oh, the years may go bye and I might lose my hair, grow wrinkles, have health problems, or no longer be able to stand up straight. But I am never growing old. I might be crushed by monumental responsibility, bound by duty, and be a servant to obligations; but I am never growing old. Time has seen my heart broken, my pride buried, and my dreams stolen from me. But I will never grow old. If we happen to meet and you see a man weathered by unstoppable time, look into my eyes. You will see me as I truly am: eternally and forever young.
