see a dead body

I saw dead body well we like to call them cadavers haha. It was pretty school. I don’t know it quite weird because I can work on a cadaver but when If I were to see a dead body like on street or something I could hardly breath.

We had an upstairs neighbor who became a progressively worse alcoholic. The whole story lasted a little over two years, beginning with him calling the cops on us for “being loud” (we would be sitting in the living room watching tv), progressing to his sister coming up and trying to help him and us becoming friendly with her, to us joking about him being dead when it would be really silent upstairs (we subsequently found out that during these quiet times he was either in the hospital or in jail) to finally his sister calling us, asking us to check on him during one of these silent times and us finding his dead body.

It was winter and he had the house heat on as well as a space heater in the bedroom where he died. He was up there for three days before we found him. When the morgue people came (two cute punky dykey girls) they opened the windows in his bedroom and the whole area stank for about an hour.

It was a little traumatizing at the time, but overall it was a pretty interesting experience.
