"great learning experience that will follow me for life"

How I did it: For my internship in undergrad I worked with a psychiatrist that is well known in the field.  She was amazing and always wanted to help students grow and make the most of their time with her.  She gave us all the opportunity to write an article for publication.  I did the research as necessary, went through the editting process and could not be happier about this life accomplishment.  It is an accomplishment that I am able to carry with me and I highly recommend taking advantage of any opportunity that you come across for this.

    For being American born I have terrible grammar, and I’m an English major to…compliate my degree. However, I love to write poetry and when I remember or feel like it, I like to write down my dreams and create short stories out of them. Someday i would love to see my poetry and short stories in print. And maybe someday I’ll write childrens books.

    I’m 17, and on Easter I received a letter saying that my poem was chosen to be published in Poets of America. I am so happy about this, and I am trying to get 2 more collections of poetry published. This just goes to show that age means nothing!
