Amy don't waste a day
I found a beautiful apartment on the third floor of one of the old Victorian houses in Friendship. It’s gorgeous—spacious, wooden floors, antique looking. I’m just worried there’s some trick, like the guy will change his mind, or it will turn out I have no credit, or something.
P.S., Mad thanks to everysummer for telling me to look in the city paper. Yet another way 43T has massively benefitted me and served the ideal function of a social software app.

I met my flatmate yesterday (she happened to be in town), and we got along really well, so I’m definitely looking for a 2BR. I’m keeping a watchful eye on craigslist. Tips of any kind are welcome.

Decided it would be cool (and thrifty) to get a house with other first-years instead of living by myself, so a couple of us are looking for houses/ big apartments within biking (or at least bus-riding) distance of school. Yay! This is getting really exciting as plans become more concrete! I think I’ll be totally prepared.

I’m also thinking it might be fun to get a house with other first year grad students, so I’m keeping an eye out.

Looking for somewhere I can live reasonably well by myself, near but not necessarily in downtown (maybe around the strip district or in squirrel hill, though shadyside, oakland park, and maybe southside would be great, too).
