I want to be a less lazy person

raslalique is definitely a Newness-seeking Self-improving Tree Hugger
The biggest step I can take here is wake up early. If I get up late I don’t get time to pray or meditate or workout or plan my day and then I can’t seem to get a handle on my day.

- Doing what I have to do.
- Doing what I have to do well.
- Doing first things first.
- Doing what I have to do cheerfully even if it is hard.
- Doing what I have to do well.
- Doing what I have to do consistently.
- Doing what I have to do consistently well.
In a nut-shell- do it now, do it first, do it well. Repeat.

Lately things have been chaotic, and they shouldn’t be. Here is a list of things that I could do to make my week easier:
1. wash clothes regularly
2. lay out clothes night before
3. run dishwasher nightly
4. on Sunday, have scout uniform ready to go, baseball uniform washed and both sets all in one place
5. Sunday- have bible study homework done
6. meal plan set
7. shopping list set
8. vacuum once a week at least
9. wash towels
10. change sheets
11. fold and put away clothes
12. have permission slips signed Sunday
13. have all bills ready to go Sunday
14. assemble meals the night before
15. water plants
16. routine chores
17. make lunch the night before
18. freezer cooking and once-a-week baking
these are the heart of the chaos for this working mom. I know I have time wasters, if only I can avoid those and focus on the above list. This is a start.

of this goal was centered around keeping a tidy, clean house.
Since moving I have developed habits that I am really proud of and keep the most organised house thus far :)
There are always areas in one’s life where more discipline could be applied but for the purpose this goal was intended for, I’m done!

I wrote earlier about needing structure in my life. I have finally decided on a set of rewards and “deterrents” for myself. The reward is really good and the deterrent is really bad. I’m going to test this method for one month to see if it works in getting me to do what I have to do. I have never consciously punished myself before. It should be interesting to see how it will go.
I know that I should get intrinsic pleasure from my goals being achieved but some days the end seems so far away that I start to slack off. Let’s see if this method will do any good.

I have been making some progress with this but I am not at the stage yet where I can say this is done. I am still getting distracted from my work or other duties from time to time. A big problem of mine is that I hate structure sometimes. Like most people I’d rather be doing something fun.
I guess I could try to make my work fun but that isn’t always possible. I guess I have nothing else to do but put on my big girl britches and just do what I have to do.
Starting from today, little things that need to be put under my control.
Instead of smoking 10 or more cigarettes as I usually do,I managed to stick to the promise I made to myself and I only smoked 3 until now (08:55 p.m)and I’m allowed to smoke one more after I’m done with my study.
My eating habits need to be put under my control as well, and this is the biggest challenge for me,cause I’m a sucker for everything tasty and I love sweets, but I’m sure I’ll manage to control the “beast” to some extent.
I also need to catch up with my studies in a timely manner and luckily,Christmas is not too far away and I’ll have plenty of time to study in the holidays.
Even the small change I made today, made me feel pretty darn good!I do believe that life needs to be spontaneous and not to be put in a schedule, but always in moderation.Having control of your life and of yourself as much as you are allowed to,keeps you organized and moving in order to be able to live the important moments of your life to the fullest.

Lots of things going well here but I did not stick to the two hours per day on art over my break but that’s okay as I did a lot of reading & did spend some time getting up to date.
Areas to improve – vitamins & maintenance of organised clothing! I’m doing pretty well at this & the finer weather has helped (bar today – doomulent!)
I’ve got some heavy deadlines across the next month so a lot of my focus will be on those too!

I can successfully say that I’ve made a huge improvement on the problem areas I mentioned on this goal 4 weeks ago. I am eating better, sleeping better and taking my make up off every day.
I’m also getting more organised with my clothes which is GOOD.
I want to do the dishes more regularly so that Robert doesn’t end up doing them more than me.
I want to make sure that in my 2 weeks of non-scheduled classes (starting next week) that I get a lot of creative work done, at least two hours per day.
There’s more I’m sure! But these are a few things on my mind at the moment.
