....WHEN I CANT GO TO JAZZERCISE 10 months ago

I choose to SPIN! I bought a spinning bike a couple of months ago, and I don’t regret plunging down almost $2,500.00 So since I had to cut down on my Jazzercise classes I have a back up plan with my spinner bike! I am assisting Jazzercise 2 to 3 times a week, and if I can’t make it then once I get home from work I get on the bike! Its working so far…but I do prefer going to Jazzercise!!!

peachstt is working.

I love Jazzercise!!! 16 months ago

Jazzercising Again! 17 months ago

Hello! I am back and jazzercising! I have been a good girl and I have kept going to my Jazzercise classes! I fell of the wagon 3 months ago, not that I didn’t go, just that I know I was slacking…by just going 2 or once a week…LOOSER! Anyways, between April & May I started going back regularly and now I am really taking off going 4 to 5 weeks! I am a teacher, so it really helps that I have nothing else on my mind now that school is off…so I really concentrate on Jazzercise.

I never thought of actually buying anything from the Jazzertogs…but I caught myself online the other day. They had a sale and I ordered a T-Shirt black with the Jazzercise logo in White…yikes! I also even order a D.V.D. I will be using this when I go on vacation on July to Puerto Rico. My mom said that at the condominium she lives they give aerobics classes for free…so I will have to deal with that and use my DVD also. Aerobics in Puerto Rico is not the same as Jazzercise! I mean its the music and the dance moves that I enjoy the most…thats why I have stuck to it!

I like also that the instructors send out those postcards just to say “it was nice seeing you in class” or “can’t wait to see you again in class”. It really makes you feel like they really care for you to be there and take care of yourself…at least thats the way I feel!

I still want to work towards the instructor certification…not ready for that yet though….I am pretty thin, but its that honestly I still run out of breath…I need to work on my resistance and still need to work on some of the moves. I will get there I am not in any rush whatsoever!!!

CHANGE OF PLANS... 20 months ago

Last week I added additional classes to my Jazzercise workouts! Initially, I was going Monday, Weds. & Saturdays. Last week I added Tues. & Thursday…for a total of 5 days! Only drawback is that Tues. & Weds. classes start at 6:00, so I had to record American Idol and Survivor! Since I am off this week for Spring Break, I plan on going in the mornings at 9:00 a.m. and dedicate myself to cleaning out my house…which has been quite neglected…LOL!

I went shopping today with the intentions of purchasing a new pair of workout shoes. My “New Balance” sneakers look quite pathetic. I wanted to get the RYKA brand, but sad to find out that couldn’t find them anywhere in my size of 5 1/2”!!! Change of Plans: I ended going into Radio Shack, and don’t ask why, I ended buying a Sony Vaio laptop!!! So, my good intentions of paying $75 to $79 on Ryka footwear, cost me $799 for the laptop…that’s why I hate going to the mall…Am I happy with my new laptop?...HELL YEAH!!!

In my quest in finding those Ryka…once I got home I got online and ordered them directly from Ryka Footwear. But of course, change of plans again, I bought two pairs instead of one…so all in all I spent $161.00 in new footwear!

So, that was my day…quite a splurge! Now I am off to search via American Airlines, and purchase two plane tickets for my mom and niece who will be visiting me this summer…that is…unless there is a “change of plans”!

Also, better get busy and pack a few sales from my EBAY store so that I can ship those off tomorrow…I am a busy-bee!!!

Finally!!! 22 months ago

Two weeks ago I got the flu…wheeewww!!! I didn’t excercise for a whole week! The last day I want to my jazzercise class, I was so dizzy and almost wanted to faint. I felt so weak…that I decided to take a break, until I finally felt better! I started back into the classes this week and at home…so I finally feel a lot better after getting over the flu! Hopefully this weeek I will begin getting back into my routine!

Kick Butt: ONE DAY BOOT CAMP 22 months ago

ooookay! it was “freakin” 40 degrees today, yet I still managed to crawl out of bed, take a shower, make myself breakfast and get to today’s Jazzercise class…today’s class was so much fun; I am still trying to figure out how this lady can exercise so much, dance, sing and call out the next steps! She is amazing! There were a couple of ‘newbies’ in todays class. One girl even gave up and sat down…that’s a big no, NO! When I started, I also wanted to give up, yet something I learned on previous “aerobics” classes years ago, was that its better to march in place than just sit down. I think she was slacking and not giving an effort, not even through the slow movements at the end, which is just stretching…it was quite sad to see that….anyways, after that I went down to the grocery store and got myself some “Kashi” bars! I love these! I love the “dark chocolate, cherry” granola bars…when I get hungry this is my snack. I’ve been drinking lots of water, natural tea, instead of diet coke, and eating fruits like oranges, bananas, & apples. Later, at home I walked on my treadmill for 30 minutes and did a weight workout including the ab workout on my stability ball. Ended my routine with a 30 minute race…lol, on my stationary bike! So, today I can call my exercise workout my “boot camp”.

Tomorrow no “jazzercise” class until Monday, but I will defenitely walk on my treadmill and get on my bike!

Really at the end of the day, you decide how you want to live. Do you want to be a “couch potato” or just live a healthier life, eating what’s good for your body & doing exercises that you know you will commit to…in the long run, I know it will pay off!!!

No Excuses! 22 months ago

I have been faithfully going to my Jazzercise classes…and I so proud of myself! I am getting better at the steps and I have been able to finish the entire routines! I have problems with my stretching though…I wish I could touch my toes!

Anyways, the days where there is no Jazzercise, is no excuse for me on not to exercise! Luckily, I have built a small gym in my home! So, today I walked on my treadmill for 1 hour, & later got on my stationary bike for 30 minutes. I also did some ab exercise on my stability ball & several sets of light-weights(8 pounds)!

So all in all, there are NO EXCUSES for me! I go to Jazzercise on Monday’s, Wednesdays & sometimes on Thursdays, and I always go on Saturday’s! When I go on Saturday’s I come home & walk on my treadmill for 1 hour extra…hehehehe! I’m LOVING myself!

Never felt better & happier!

Benefits of Jazzercise 23 months ago

I enjoy attending my jazzercise classes & keeping track of my fitness workouts! Here are some of the benefits of Jazzercise>

1. Develop cardiovascular fitness
2. Improve Metabolism
3. Increase Energy
4. Strenthen & tone muscles
5. Improve flexibility & balance
6. Improve health & well-being

All to the tune of modern, cool songs! My instructor knows all the words to them and she teaches, bounces from side to side, up & down, with a smile on her face and still is able to sing them…wheeeew; I’m lucky if I can barely say “hi” to the person standing next to me!!!

JAZZERCISE FITNESS LOG 23 months ago

I came across this fitness log for those “jazzercisers” who want to keep track of their exercising routines.
You can find it here:

http://www.jazzercise.com/learn_fitnesslogs.htm

If you can’t access it from this message; just go to www.jazzercise.com and on the homepage click on “Learn the Moves” at the left click on “Fitness Logs” its the 4th link!

I am using it…and its a great way to make sure you do some kind of activity daily! Even if its a brisk walk for 30 minutes!
