How I did it: In fifth grade, my friend and I had our dads sign us up. That summer, before sixth, we went to Cancun and dived for a weekend. How I did it: I did it by signing up at a local dive shop; it was free for me, since my dad's friends with the shop owner. I had some gear I could use from my dad's exploits, too. The hardest thing for me was removing my mask!To go scuba diving, I went to Cozumel, Mexico. I would highly suggest this dive location! It was a bit pricey (airfare, hotel room, rental equipment, dive master there to certify me), but it was really cool! Read how I did it…

Don’t much care for water, afraid of sharks and other underwater death machines…but there’s so much cool stuff to see down there.

I love the ocean, i love ocean life. I want to scuba in the tropics along Fiji with clear water. I want to see the tropical fish live surround me (:

This is actually a little bit of a fear for me. I’m REALLY afraid that when I go scuba diving I’m going to get attacked by a shark. I’m like SUPER afraid of that actually. Or that I’m going to get left behind or something. But more so of the sharks. l0l. But I really want to experience scuba diving regardless because it is apparently an amazing thing. So I’m still going to do it eventually, it’s just probably one of those things that’s going to take a little while longer. l0l.

I went diving for the first time about a year ago. My father used to work as a dive master, so it was a great way to bond with him! Not to mention all the pretty fishes… I was certified as a NAUI diver – must say that I like this program more than others, just because it’s a little more cautious.
If you do this, I suggest checking out some reefs! It’s so breathtaking and amazing!

I have yet to learn to swim or get over my fear of drowning underwater unfortunately…so I have yet to scuba. lol But my husband has really been on this kick lately so I have made the committment to find out how to do this, finally, & start making plans for it. Not high on the priority list but I definitely want to experience it before I die!!! And noone ever knows when thier time is up…CARPE DIEM!!!
