Stop the Suffering

Walking out of the theatre after having seen Blood Diamond I could not help but feeling guilty. It became so obvious how unfair the world is. Of course I know it already but this movie was a brutal reminder. In this part of the world we long for the latest technology,, a new cell phone, a better lap top, a cool iPOD and more bandwidth. In other parts of the world people walk miles to get clean water, they wake up hungry and go to sleep hungry. They cold only dream to have a cold drink, travel to foreign countries, buy some new clothes or choose a nice restaurant for the night. There are people working their ass off, and still they can hardly pay the rent and put food on the table. In the western world we go to the shrink, we spend hours complaining about that the bus is late, that the coffee is cold, that the car gets broke, that we cant afford the latest fashion wear (or if we can we are still not happy).....

It really sucks, doesn’t it? I dont say we should go around and excuse ourselves. Most of us works hard as well, and our problems are real problems as well (at least in our world), but I cant help to feel a little guilty anyway. I think I should start to donate some money.

I saw a travel program from Vietnam. There was a man of 55-60 years old. He was driving a taxi scooter/moto for 12 hours every day. He had no dreams anymore he said. Only that his daughters would get successful one day. Every day he worked from 12-24, and in order to make it go around he needed to make 4-6 usd/day. 6 USD PER DAY to make it go around. HELLO!!!

Yesterday I watched a movie called MidnightExpress,It was about an american prisoner in a turkish prison.I know that the amrican cinema is fake,but I realized that people in prisons around the world are really suffering and having distateful treatment.I hope I can stop this anyway inshaAllah.
