at the antique store yesterday. The highlight was a wonderful woman who plays a classical acoustic guitar as the entertainment.
We hit it off wonderfully! She is originally from Chicago. Met the love of her life on the internet 5 years ago. They married and she moved to Montana to be with him. A really romantic story.
Listening to her play all afternoon truly restored my enthusiasm for this goal. :)

I found a quality sounding acoustic guitar yesterday for $35 but they wouldn’t take my debit card! It is at a little arts & crafts mall next to a produce stand by the airport. I continued shopping and got my dad a birthday gift instead.
Hope the guitar is still there when I get paid this week!

I am going to find a guitar and start playing for my adventures in July. :)
UltraWannaBe is back to the grind at work.
Purchased a used Dobro on 6/14. I’ve been sucking ever since.
I’m going to take my mom’s old (OLD!) acoustic guitar back to Cleveland and start teaching myself how to play.
jellybeangumbo tired but grateful! :)
sad little guitar has been living in the hall closet for 3 years now…needs to come out and play
When you learn to play the guitar, it can seem like an impossible task at first. This is especially true when you first sit down with no musical experience at all. You may find that it is much harder than it looks. However, the advantages of making time to learn to play the guitar or any instrument are definitely great. It is well worth the time and effort of practicing every day. There are a lot of basics that you need to know before you even sit down for your first jam session. You need to decide which guitar is best for you and learn how to take care of your guitar by changing the strings, making adjustments (or finding someone qualified to do this for you) and of course keeping it in tune.
My favorite sound in the world is that of an acoustic guitar. If you are just beginning to learn to play guitar, even if your final goal is to play electric lead guitar, you might should consider playing acoustic first. It will make electric guitar feel easy to play when you get started on it and it is less loud, which is usually a good thing when you are just starting. :-)
I have been playing guitar for over 10 years and am so glad that I picked it up at an early age. My hope is that I will be able to help others that are serious about learning to play guitar because I know it is a worthwile endeavor. I actually teach lessons so if you have any general questions about how to get started or just want to chat about anything guitar related just send me a message! I am willing to help! My passion is teaching! Oh! and you can check out some of the top guitar lessons programs and some articles I wrote at:

The other day I told someone I’ve been playing guitar for just over twenty years. I couldn’t believe it as the words left my mouth (am I that old?). It’s one of the only things I’ve really stuck with throughout my life, even though there have been gaps here and there. Sooner or later, I always get back to playing and I get a little better. It’s very rewarding and comforting to have this one thing that allows me to continually learn and bring joy to others.
I have an acoustic guitar but I haven’t gotton the time to play it. I started trying to teach myself to play but then I stopped. Id really like to learn so I could play like a pro…grr
