dainty_lil_daisyUntitled

my honey wanted to come over last week and it was too messy and that SUCKED, it was in CHAOS (can’t have anyone over syndrom) :/
then i devoted a whole day to cleaning it.
i’d say it’s 90% done minus laundry

progress, not perfection, right??

dainty_lil_daisywell

i got a good start last night…
i FINALLY did a load of laundry and i cleaned all while waiting for it to be done. my room is about a third of the way there i’d say. hopefully will complete by this weekend, i really would like to have a usable living space again

have been slowly and steadily doing this since the first week in may. still needs lots of work and detail cleaning. hopefully will be COMPLETELY done by the end of this month—then i want to keep it that way for a long long time :) 5 years ago

ournewAgain

This time is not the yearly room cleaning, because I have to do it anyway, but it has to do with it. I have the terrible (?) habit of reading almost everything that reaches my hands. So my room is full of (old) papers, newspapers and magazines that I feel I must read in order to get rid of them. Also there are some unfinished craft projects sitting in my room that I want to get finished. That will help heaps in getting my room clean. 5 years ago

purdylilprincesscleaning...

just do it and you’ll be happyer and more of your energy can flow through your room. don’t stuff things in/ under/ near anything. thats bad 5 years ago

Stephanie_LinGarage Sale

Not exactly done yet. I’ve cleaned off my shelf, and some of the photos around my mirror so that it looks cleaner. I washed the stuff on my bed too. I have to reorganize my nightstand and think up a better strategy for storing my many many books that I read at least once every week (Japanese and German books mostly) Under my bed still needs to be explored and my drawers should be cleaned out as far as getting rid of stuff. I need to clean my computer desk and theres just still alot of stuff to be sorted through. But my closet…I am scared to even look in there right now. All of this is being done in preparation for the garage sale this saturday. My biggest question is whether or not to keep my GBA. I haven’t played with it in years and I didn’t like it that much to begin with, but its like, brand new and how much could I get for it at the garage sale? 10 bucks if I’m lucky. I really have to stop keeping things that I dont use though, its pathetic. Anyway, my room looks great so far, its the cleanest I’ve seen it…well since I moved into it really. 7 years ago

ournewIt's good doing it on a regular basis

At least for me. Now it’s clean but I will take a whole year to do this again. 7 years ago

EndlesslyPureoh, and how..

this also ties in to my “spend more time to myself” goal.

all laundry is in the process of being done, room vaccuums, sorted, closet organized once again. Done and done. :) 7 years ago

EndlesslyPureok well, laundry is now sorted (by colour)

ok, well I managed to get most of my room somewhat organized into important aspects. I rearanged some furnature, now giving me more workspace for school stuff, and no space to throw clothes (other than on the floor). I put away some pay stubs/mastercard bills/visa bills/cell phone bills all sorted into my little shoe box. I aslo made a pile of books to go back to the library (which I also noticed, are now somehow two weeks late? I dont even think I took them out that long ago.. something strange goin on… maybe it wasn’t my receipt? Anyway! I put some more books away on my shelf, too. I had to clear off one whole shelf just to make room for all the new books I’ve bought. Hmm.

Anyway, well done. I just need to get through this laundry, now. 7 years ago

EndlesslyPurefirst things first

step one: clear all laundry from the floor… 7 years ago

goog747It's amazing!

I’ve ALWAYS had a messy room. And when I say messy… I mean MESSY! Piles of magazines, books, clothes, general rubbish, toys, old schoolwork, more clothes, etc, etc…. piled up to about 3 foot high. On every square inch of the floor except for a small path from my door to my bed!!! It was really THAT bad.

I woke up one morning and decided that today was the day! So I got dressed in some old clothes, got a cup of tea, picked up some bin bags and started the hard work. It took less time than I thought it would! I didn’t even stop to eat.

Finally, six hours and six full-to-the-brim bin bags later, my room had a nice litter-free carpet. All I had to do then was to hoover it. Simple as that.

And if you want a hint: be hard on yourself if you’re a hoarder… I threw away A LOT of stuff I wanted to keep but knew I would never/very rarely use. Seriously… whether it’s clothes that don’t fit or books you don’t read… THROW IT AWAY! 7 years ago

kbahrso much work

I know this sounds so boring, but my room is just this huge collection of junk from the last twenty years. I want to give all the stuff I don’t use or need anymore away, and I want to get everything straight in the next 6 weeks before I go back to school. 7 years ago
