she's too gangsta 17 months ago

Fancy & I went to central park last week to meet up with my friend. As we walked the perimeter, she saw the Horses (pulling cariages) and she lunged right at them. Thank GOD she was on a leash. people just laughed. she’s too gangsta for central park. she’s got beef with the horses!!

Rain Rain Go Away...Little River Wants To Play 2 years ago

The bark park is one big mud puddle, NOT for my poodle! My puppy River is all white!

My River deserves better 2 years ago

My baby is such a good dog and he loves to run free. His 1st birthday is in 2 days. Taking him to the bark park is hard right now because it is full of mud and it;s hard for me to bath him because of my pain. Also the gas money to get him there is hard to come by. I walk him around home but I can’t run so he can’t and the city has a law about tethering dogs in my own yard.
But I will work hard to get him there as much as possible.

she hates other dogs... 2 years ago

so i took her with me to SOHO. it was too cold for a little ass dog like her to be walking all day, so she was in my bag most of the time… but i know she enjoys it because she behaves when i put her in the bag. i guess, since she gets lonely at home all day she knows if she wants to go with me- she better act right. she just hates other animals. fucked up right? what can i do though- shes already 12 yrs old. people think shes a puppy though. she just has a very young attitude i guess

Dog parks can be dangerous places 3 years ago

People regularly take sick, aggressive or just plain rude dogs to dog parks, and many of those people are clueless that they’re doing anything wrong.

I’ve taken my dog to the dog park a few times, cos I thought he’d have a lot of fun. However, I won’t be doing it any more after a few bad experiences with bullying and/or aggressive and/or unsupervised dogs. I’ve learned that it’s safer to exercise him on his own, or with a small group of dogs that I know well. It’s just not worth the risk to turn him loose with strange dogs with unknown temperaments, whose owners may be irresponsible dropkicks.

I would especially NEVER take a puppy to a dog park. One bad experience can ruin a young pup’s temperament for life, making it permanently fearful or aggressive towards strange dogs.

today at the belltown doggy park. 3 years ago

it has been months since i last took her to this dog park. my friend’s coworker brought her doggy out as well, so we were hoping it will be a cute doggy playdate.

    well, wrong.

ivy is basically a crowd controller. that annoying classmate you had that bosses you around and tell you to stop having fun. unfortunately her doggy boyfriend ran off with other new firends and ivy was left alone playing with us.

but she seemed very happy as usual. i guess as long as she is happy- i should be content.
