I’ve been getting better at tracking people I meet. LinkedIn is becoming more and more useful as a way to track and correspond with colleagues.
People doing this are also doing these things:

Networking is an intergral part of buisness and it is probably the part I need the most help on. I’m not a naturally outgoing guy but I’m learning to intergret networking in my life.
Hello my name is Shannon and I am the owner of several Anger Managment Education Centers. What is your name?
Philip is bringing his 43things up to date.
I just joined BNI, which is a really good small business networking org. My friends who joined last year rave about it, although it must be said it does have a price (about $400/year).
I’m very excited about this, because it gives me weekly contact with about 20-30 local people, mostly involved in small business, which is exactly who i’d like to be doing Web sites for. I’ll post more and “resolve” this item as i get more involved, but i’d say that for now BNI comes highly recommended.
this is sort of like those goals to talk to strangers. only rather than for finding your soul mate, partner, or new friends, it is more work-related (thought it could be good for all of those goals too). basically you talk to strangers or acquaintances, especially if you think you might have some common work interest, then try to help each other. once you start developing this habit, amazingly people you don’t know that well are able to give you much better help than you could’ve imagined. i have found my first internet start-up opportunity this way – should be able to cross off several of my other 43 things soon because of this.
