I already knew the story but watching the film just brought everything back even more strongly for me. Of course it makes me scared… fearing for my husband and I who had to routinely make trips from NY to London Heathrow. Makes me feel sad for the great loss of wonderful people on that day. Mostly, it makes me disgusted and angry that poeple… OUR OWN PEOPLE even could forget these things so soon. It seems to me like so many people want to ignore the problem of extreme Islam and terrorism and pretend it doesn’t exist or isn’t a danger to us… and that will be our fatal mistake. To survive you must know your enemy well not hide from him or trust him as if he’s your misunderstood friend. Doing so will surely come back to bite you in the ass.
Anyhow, yes… I cried a lot through this one. Definitely not a film to watch before taking a flight.

Deborah and I saw this film tonight. It was kind of hard to watch, but it was SO good. I just cried and cried and cried. I just watched it in deisbelief… How could something like that really happen? What would I do if I was in that situation? Who would I call? Would I help or would I hide? Those brave, strong people… I watched in awe. My eyes are swelling just as I write this…
It was a very powerful movie. One I would recommend to anyone!

you know the story, the only plane that didn’t reach a destination. but it’s not just the story, it’s how it is told… it is powerful and moving… intense, though you know the plane goes down the movie ends with sadness and triumph.
even though they couldn’t save themselves think of how many other people’s lives they did save. If you don’t see it out of pride for your country, then see it in honor of those who lost there lives on September 11th. Leave your comfort zone just for a while and be part of that flight.
