Scarlett if this city never sleeps, does it mean that no-one ever dreams?
Aaaaah it was magical. ♥.♥ Not even the fact that I managed to get ill just in time for the show, managed to diminish the joy and amazement Saltimbanco offered. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and I loved how the performers interacted with the audience, a couple of people got on stage, too! The positive side on being on the front row is that you see small details that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. I got to interact with the performers as well a little, before the actual show some of the cast (fully dressed in their character outfits) came out and shook hands with the audience, etc. and my row took a little walk with the cast, it was nice. And I got offered some popcorn as well. :D
I don’t know which acts I liked the best, some of them made me laugh, some stare in amazement my mouth agape, it was all plain fabulous. But to say something…
Duo Trapeze was a-mazing, the performers looked so alike, they might have been sisters (twins)? Anyway, it was beautiful, trapezes have always been my favourites, swinging in the air seems so… liberating. Free. Absolutely loved this act, yes yes.
Artistic Bicycle was hilarious, he did some pretty impressive things with the bicycle, and his charisma was unbelievable, such a performer.
Russian Swing is basically a huge swing, from which the performers are catapulted in the air and I must say: wow. The things they did, just breathtaking.
And this is not an act per se, but he definitely deserves to be mentioned: Eddie. I haven’t laughed as much and as wholeheartedly in a long time (well, except with A perhaps but that’s a whole different story ♥). He interacted with the audience a lot, it was hilarious, and it was great how people went with it, though perhaps a bit shyly (we’re talking about Finns here after all). Just, Eddie ♥.
Like I said though, I loved all the acts and I’m very very pleased that I got a ticked and got to see such a heart-warming and amazing show. Needless to say, now I want to see other Cirque du Soleil shows more than ever! I’m particularly eager to see O, anything aquatic always gets me interested. And Alegría I must get to see some time, I’ve loved the soundtrack for years. (Apparently, there will be a CdS show named ‘Elvis’ opening in December ‘09 – it’d be awesome if I got to see that with A, I’m sure we’d both very much enjoy it. That’d mean… Vegas, baby! :D)
Aah, I’m in love. ♥
