There`s a kind of pleasant feeling – when you dream of something and finally make the first step, that sets everything in motion. It`s like running down the hill with arms wide open :o) Last time I had this feeling when I booked our tickets for Rome trip last October. And the feeling happened again – I read about CdS visiting my city this year and just logged in the same evening, make an online reservation and… bam! Our tickets are ready to be printed :o) I`m sooo happy and excited! 3 months ago
CdS visited Poland and, what is the most important, my city (!) last January with Saltimbanco – this is unusual since the majority of events take place in Warsaw, the capital, and it takes 5-6 hours to get there from where we live… This year they will return in August with Alegria. I hope I won`t miss it this time! :o) 3 months ago
I actually got to see my first Cirque show in 2007, it was La Nouba.
Since then I’ve seen Mystere, Dralion, Zumanity, and KA.
I’m planning on seeing Quidam in March. 4 months ago

Today we went to see Cirque du Soleil’s Saltimbanco. It was really mesmerizing. The clowns, acrobats and other performers really take their skills to a new level. My favorite part is in the photo. This just seemed miraculous. The colorful outfits, original live music, and central characters unify the performers and charge the show with a positive energy. We would definitely see another one of their shows. 6 months ago
How I did it: My boyfriend remembered me mentioning that I wanted to go to a Cirque du Soleil a few months ago. I had no idea they were coming to town though. He saw it advertised that the Saltimbanco show was coming in October and ran with it.
However...not only did he get us tickets to the show, he also kept it a complete surprise until 1 hour before it!!!
For a few weeks prior I was told I had to go to some award dinner with my mom and came home from work that day, got ready, boyfriend showed up at the door and said you aren't going to some dinner...we are going to see Cirque du Soleil, and we have front row floor seats.
I was honestly in shock for probably about a full 10 minutes, if not more. I think it finally sank in when we were in the car on the way there.
Not only was the surprise completely amazing and the show itself, but then he got taken up on stage for about 5 minutes to do an improv skit with one of the performers!!! So I not only got to see a Cirque du Soleil, but got to be entertained by my boyfriend IN the show!
This will seriously be a night I (we) will never forget =) Read how I did it… 7 months ago
