It’s fun. Swung on swings in parks and had one in garden when growing up. I remember a couple of times when I would swing on swing at park with my sister when younger and we’d kick our shoes off, that was fun.

Living In God's Exquisite, Miraculous Sufficiency hasn't had time to be on 43T. Been busy with life.
My kids love doing this and so I do, too.

I love to do this :)
There is a little playground a few houses away from us and I have done this a few times when I was their with my daughters. In the forth grade I was on a swing decided to jump off and broke my right arm.

I had been feeling very down lately and I thought I might try and accomplish this goal.
I drove the one of the local parks and when to the swing set. Of course, it was a bit odd that I was the only adult swinging on the swing. Plus I was dressed up, since I was coming straight from the office. I was surrounded by children, which made me feel a little bit better, since they are such a joy.
As I started swinging, I realized what a lovely feeling it was to soar so high into the air. As if, I could really touch the clouds that I was looking at. It was a very uplifting feeling and suddenly I found myself praying.
As I pumped my legs to go higher, my prayer mirrored the rythm of my swinging body. It was at this time, that my soul felt light and free. That all the burdens and heartaches that had chained my soul in the past couple days and weeks, were broken.
As I swung higher and higher, my prayer become more positive and more stronger. Even thought my lips didn’t not move, I know that I was standing before the throne of God in heart and soul. The wonderful presence of God was so overwhelming that I am surpirsed that I didn’t start crying. I was trying to take in all that my eyes could see. The soft clouds, the bright blue sky, the laughter of children around me.
All I could do is praise Him and thank Him for this simple activity that helped me reconnect to the positive things of God and release the shackles of creeping worry and heartheart of what I cannot control.
I needed to swing.
I needed to remember the little things that I used to enjoy but the burdens of my adult life have made me forget.
I remember now. I remember the feeling of freedom and the feeling of happiness that only a solitary swing can bring.
It was truely lovely.
Thank you for opening my eyes once again, my Lord. You always know what I need most in my life.

Somehow every time I get on a swing I throw up or get sick and dizzy. I would so much more fun if I didn’t get sick but I can’t help it. I just hate the fact that I get sick on swings.
Alaythia is slowly settling in
I used to love how my body glided effortlessly through the air when I was swinging. I’d pump my legs to gain altitude and then stretch my toes out in an attempt to touch the clouds. As I got older I perfected the art of jumping out of the swing. It was probably the closest I’ll ever get to flying. : )
u should do this free at your local park, the older u are the better, its feels really free 2 get the air in yer hair !
liberating silly worthwhile way to spend 7 minutes
