Since I am more focused now, I have been studying my All-In-One CISSP book religiously. I haven’t decided when I will be taking the exam as of yet but I believe by late Spring/early Summer, I should be ready.

This is definitely one of those items that should not be in the back burner but is. I have no motivation to study anymore. I was thinking of just taking the test and seeing how I would do. I tend to be good under pressure and the possibility of failing will probably cause me to pass the exam.
I giving this more thought but it would not be a surprise if I just take the test and see what happens.

Still have the book and have done nothing about it. Procrastination has become my friend.

I have had one of the most popular CISSP certification books for over a year. I think I have cracked it open 2 or 3 times. Time to remove the dust and crack open the book and study.

ARGGHHHHhhhh! Ok I am done. It was painful but well worth it.

Nice to see someone else interested in doing this too. How are your studies going?

Not doing so well on this goal. I really need to buckle down and get to it but everything seems to get in the way – home, work, life in general. There is always something else that needs to be done right away and cannot be put off.
And I still cannot catch with everything that needs to be done at home and at work. SIGH!

Bought some additional second hand books from amazon.com. I think I have everything I need. Just need to get in the groove. Mike D passed his CISSP last week. Gives me hope if I would only study! UGH!

I did get through the first 53 pages yesterday so I am patting myself on the back. :) I hope I can keep it up. It is not so bad once I get started. The difficult part is to set aside everything else and sit down for this.

The Shon Harris book has 969 pages that I have to read. If I read 50 pages a day, I will finish my first pass in 20 days. That’s February 17th. The first pass will be just reading.
A week of buffer in case there is slippage, then I will start on Krutz’s book (550 pages) and read 25 pages at a time (it is more in depth/technical overall). That will take me to 18th March.
Another week of buffer time and by March 25th I should be ready for the big push starting April 1st.
Well, that is the plan. Let’s see how far it works out.
