Worth doing!
After all the stuff Sherry has done helping me furnish my new place I owe her at LEAST a thank you card. A hand-written, from-the-heart, proper card. Not a text, not a voicemail, not an email. A snail mail Thank you. Other people should get them too. Chris for being sweet and wonderful while I was being a pain with the flu. Maria for letting me stay w/ them last time I was in ATL. ChrisBlack at work for the excellent book exchange we’ve got going on. I’m going to start this as soon as I get home from work in the morning…

After writing thank-yous and sending cards (thinking of you and friendship type) I really enjoyed the feeling I received putting them into the mail-box.
I also enjoyed writing “thank-yous” to people whom went out of their way to help me without knowing me. Store clerk, my grocery store bagger and the drivers ed. instructor. Just maybe receiving the thank-you note, will brighten their day and just them a boost.
I now keep an on-going list of thanks-yous I want to write and send…

a particular friend has been so good and helpful to me recently. one of my closest friends. i cried with her on the phone a few times recently and she has been such a good listener and really encouraging. i must send her a note to tell her how much i appreciate her friendship. i will make make the card one of my weekend art projects.
