How I did it: the boyfriend did it <3. they used to sell them at walmart and i was just waiting to find the time/money to go and get one, and by the time i did, ugh, walmart stopped carrying them!!!!!!!! the film too! so i sort of gave up for a little while, and next thing you know zack bought one for me off line :] I am so happy. How I did it: It was $15 on caigslist. They've stopped making the film, but it's not hard to find in most places. They're going to start making it again. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well, I owned a polaroid camera when I was younger, but it broke. And after about 8 years of not having it in my hands, I realized how much I missed it. So I searched on ebay and bought one. :] :] :) I love it. Read how I did it…

what would memily do? fails at frequently updating 43T.
... and I want one! It will probably have to be a “happy birthday to me” present but I want one so that I can start using my 365 diary that my sister gave me for Christmas. That Frankie article was awesome.
I ordered one and need confirmation from the seller… I want a Polaroid Sx70 but I can’t find any working in France. On ebay all the good ones are only shipped within the U.S :( Guess I’ll have to wait…
I now need to wait the confirmation, find some films and wait for it to arrive!!!
I bought that one because it was only €10 with the bag and Films 600 can work on it with a slight modification.
Finally found one yesterday while at a local CHKD thift store! It is a Polaroid Spirit 600 and only cost $3.98 :) I am sooo happy!
i just put in a bid for one on ebay. i didn’t realize they had been discontinued and i definitely didn’t realize how ridiculous the price of film is but i’ve always wanted one.
bec012 is burning the midnight oil
To my consternation, I discovered that Polaroid cameras have been discontinued and that production of all instant film will cease by 2009.
Luckily, Polaroid cameras are still able to be found on various websites; I was able to purchase a brand new Polaroid One600 Classic on Ebay for a reasonable price.
Although depletion of instant film supplies is inevitable, I’m going to snap as many pictures as I can with my new camera. Polaroid pictures are tangible and instant gratification and whilst the colour reproduction is inaccurate, that is precisely what makes a picture a Polaroid picture; they radiate a certain je ne sais quoi which digital photos do not and never will.
I just adore the vintage look of Polaroid film, it’s as if the picture was aged from the very start..
I’ll definitely have to begin hoarding 600 film. If only it wasn’t so expensive! Sigh..
photography is nice! and so is instant gratification. AND THEY’VE COMBINED THE 2. awesome. :)
