apply to Mensa

I finished the Mensa home test last night. It’s a two part test, both of which is timed. They give you 40 minutes for the first part, and 15 minutes for the second. I didn’t really have enough time, so I’m thinking I didn’t do so well. O-well. I sent it in today, and I’ll find out. Definitely makes me want to practice that type of thinking though.

I just ordered the home test. Kinda nervous about taking it when it comes, but I guess we’ll see how it goes when I get it.

I can either try to get the last IQ test I received, about 20 years ago, from the school that administered it…I know that will allow me to qualify. Or I can take test again…but I’m afraid I must have gotten dumber in the last 20 years. I certainly feel dumber. Particularly in math. I don’t know, I guess I don’t believe in myself enough.

Definitely worth it because after I applied successfully I found myself in a community of very diverse, very interesting and nice people. Unfortunately I lost touch with most of them since I had to move away from my old home. But it was a good experience and maybe I’ll join in my new home too, some day.

i just finished the at-home test. let’s see if i’m mensa material (probably not, since i’m too lazy to even use caps properly lol).

i sent for the at home test. am i a genius? no, but i’d like a piece of paper telling me so :-D

But I found that its not an entertainment club or like people think. You’ve got to give for it to be worthwhile.

___It was interesting; a little too much based on the white-bread American middle class culture, or so I thought. I may take it again. Yeh, I just missed it, back in 1988 I think. I had to take a bus from Midtown Memphis to the suburbs to take the test, I think. Maybe it was Germantown, maybe Poplar Bluff, or White Bluff Rd.

I’d love to see japan one day.
